Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Xeratec (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the World of Wood mobile app for iOS and Android (the “App”).
The App is a private tool for World of Wood shop staff to record material pulls and returns against jobs. It is used on shared shop devices and is not intended for the general public.
What the App Collects
The App does not have individual user accounts. Staff sign in with a single shared company access code, and the App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or password.
The only information the App sends to our servers is:
- Material activity you enter — the job you select or a job/customer name you type, the material, quantity, unit, and any notes or return reasons, along with the time of the entry.
- The shared access code — used only to confirm the device is authorized. It is not tied to an individual person.
What the App Does Not Collect
- No personal accounts, names, emails, phone numbers, or passwords.
- No location data.
- No photos, contacts, or microphone access.
- No advertising identifiers, analytics, or usage tracking.
- No payment or financial information.
Information Stored on the Device
To work without a constant connection, the App stores the material catalog and any pending entries in a local database on the device, and keeps the shared access code in the device’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). This data stays on the device and syncs with our servers when a connection is available.
How We Use Information
- To record material pulls and returns against the correct job.
- To confirm the device is authorized to use the App.
- To keep inventory and job records accurate.
How Information Is Shared
Material activity you enter is stored in World of Wood’s business systems and is available to authorized World of Wood staff. We use a cloud hosting and database provider (Railway) to run our servers. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data Retention
Material activity is retained as part of World of Wood’s business records for as long as needed to operate the business or as required by law.
Security
Information is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the access code is held in the device’s secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use commercially reasonable measures to protect information.
Children’s Privacy
The App is a workplace tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above.
